overview

this site is a personal portfolio. it exists to show who lunyntis and what they build. it is designed to collect as little as possible, and nothing here is used to build a profile of you.

visitor count

the home page shows a visitor count. each page view of the home page sends one request to a counter that adds a single number to a running total, stored as one integer row in a hosted postgres database (supabase). the counter stores an aggregate integer only. it does not store your IP address, browser, location, or any identifier that could single you out. the number is not tied to you, and it cannot be used to track you between pages or visits.

the site also keeps aggregate page view counts, grouped by day and by path, so the owner can see which pages are visited in a private admin dashboard. these are counts only and contain no personal data.

guestbook

the guestbook lets you leave a name and a message. when you submit, that name and message are stored in the site database and shown publicly on the home page, so do not include anything private. entries can be upvoted or downvoted, and to stop one person from voting many times the site stores one vote per entry against a salted hash of your ip address. the raw ip is never stored, and the hash is used only to prevent duplicate votes.

rate limits

to stop spam and abuse, the site limits how often you can post and vote. those checks use the anonymous cookie id and a short lived, salted hash of your ip address. the hash is used only to enforce the limit, it is not reversible to your ip, and it is never linked to your entries or votes.

cookies

the site sets one cookie, lunynt_vid. it is a random value stored on your device so you cannot vote twice on the same entry and so the rate limits work. it contains no personal data, is not used for tracking, and lasts about two years.

captcha

posting and voting are protected by cloudflare turnstile. when you use the guestbook, cloudflare serves a challenge script in your browser and may see your ip address and basic request data to decide whether you are human. turnstile does not use that data to track you across sites. no data is stored by this site as part of the challenge.

discord presence

the currently section uses lanyard, a public service, to show the owner's discord status. when you load the page, your browser requests that public status from the lanyard api. lanyard may see your IP address as part of serving that request, the same way any website you contact would. no data about you is stored by this site as a result.

hosting

this site is hosted on vercel. like most hosts, vercel records standard request logs to run and secure the service. those logs are managed by vercel under their own policies and are not used by this site for analytics.

what this site does not do

no accounts, no cookies, no advertising, no third-party analytics, no cross-site tracking, and no fingerprinting. nothing is sold or shared.

changes

if this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated. continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
